In 1989, 25 intrepid freight forwarders had a bold idea: to set up a national parcel service center in Germany. And so the GERMAN PARCEL was born. This was the beginning of the GLS Group story.

From 1989 to 1992, the European logistics system was gradually improved.

In 1999, Royal Mail Limited acquired GERMAN PARCEL to form GLS. It is currently the third largest parcel service provider in Europe. With an extensive network covering more than 1 million parcels a day, we now have 13,400 employees at your service, providing package delivery services to 42 European countries and territories.
